INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR FISHERIES RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

Remote sensing plays an important role in helping people to research about the nature. This technology has been also used to fishermen during their fishing activities. Fishermen use this technology to to observe the conditions and events associated with the condition of the earth, especially at the difficult marine conditions that can be predicted on nearly real time basis. The application not only aims for researching the condition and state of nature but also assisting the exploration and exploitation of resources that exist in nature especially the sea, especially fishery resources.
Types of environmental conditions affect the recruitment, distribution, advantages and availability of fishery resources. It could not be predicted all the information remotely to assess changes in the marine environment. Some knowledge of the situation and the effect of fish populations, however, which can often be inferred estimates made by remote sensors, for example, dissolved solution, the type of products the main level, the distribution of surface isotherms, the boundary of the front location, a distinguished regional strategic, currents and water circulation patterns. The parameters provide information on environmental factors are also allowed to forecast the distribution of fish or more generally on marine fish habitats. It may be easier to use a remote data rather than the presence of fish.
The application method used in the detection of fish to help the fishermen, among others, using the method of direct detection and indirect detection methods to observe some of the parameters associated with abundance, and distribution of fish such as chlorophyll, macrophytes and sea surface temperature.
In addition, the satellite can also be used as a monitoring tool and to help in rescue operations, prediction of climate change, and sensing the Earth's surface conditions, especially the sea floor.
